Ryvita Crispbread Multigrain Crackers, 250g
Rye crispbread with toasted buckwheat, linseed, sesame and kibbled rye: 17g of fibre per 100g on the label data and a real crunch.
Ryvita Crispbread Multigrain Crackers, in brief.
Ryvita Multigrain Crispbread is rye crispbread with 18% toasted seeds and grains: buckwheat, brown linseed, sesame seeds and kibbled rye. The label carries a high fibre claim.
On the label data it gives 17g of fibre and 13g of protein per 100g, with 5.1g of fat and 0.61g of salt. One slice is 10.5g.
Ryvita's multigrain crispbread starts with rye, wholegrain rye flour and rye bran, and adds a toasted mix of seeds and grains for crunch and flavour. Buckwheat, brown linseed, sesame seeds and kibbled rye make up 18% of the recipe, and salt is the only other ingredient.
That makes it a very high fibre crispbread, 17g per 100g on the label data, with a nutty, toasty flavour that suits open sandwiches and strong cheeses.

The story behind Ryvita
Ryvita began trading on 4 April 1925, when John Edwin Garratt started importing rye crispbread from Scandinavia. The idea caught on: Ryvita opened its own bakery in Birmingham in 1932, and after that factory was destroyed in the Second World War it moved to a new bakery in Poole, Dorset, in 1949, the year it joined Associated British Foods. Rye crispbread is dense, dry and crunchy; Ryvita Original lists just wholegrain rye flour, rye flour and salt. Over the years the range has added Crackerbread in the 1980s, Minis in 2002 and the Thins flatbreads in 2008, and on our shelf you will find crispbreads plain, dark rye, sesame, multigrain and fruit, along with Thins, Snack It Thins and baked Sticks.
Packaging: a 250g pack. Once the pack is open, fold it tightly closed or tip the crackers into an airtight tin, and keep them somewhere cool and dry. Damp air is what softens a cracker. The pack gives the best before date.
