Jacob's Crispbreads Chive Crackers 5x38g
A crunchy, malty crispbread with chive, portioned into five packs for lunches on the go.
Jacob's Crispbreads Chive Crackers, in brief.
Jacob's Crispbreads Chive come as five 38g packs: crisp, toasty crispbreads with kibbled rye, barley malt and 1.5% chive flakes. Each pack is a portion for the lunchbox or the desk.
They are raised with ammonium and sodium bicarbonate, which gives a light, crunchy bite, and the label says they may contain sesame seeds, milk and egg.
These are Jacob's take on a crispbread: a wheat dough with kibbled rye and barley malt extract, lifted with raising agents and baked crisp, then flavoured with chive flakes and natural flavourings. Portioned into five 38g packs, they are built for eating on the go.
The chive gives a gentle onion freshness that suits soft cheese, and the kibbled rye adds texture and a light malty note.

The story behind Jacob's
Jacob's began with W. and R. Jacob's steam biscuit factory in Dublin in 1853, and it was making cream crackers from around 1885: the plain, crisp, blistered square raised with yeast that is still the everyday cracker of British kitchens. In 1914 Jacob's opened its first English factory at Aintree, Liverpool, which Wikipedia records as the main UK producer of Jacob's products today. The range has grown far beyond the cream cracker. On our shelf you will find Cheddars and Mini Cheddars, the rich, flaky Cornish Wafers, Krackawheat with 31% ryemeal, Choice Grain, the potato based Bites, TUC, flatbreads, crispbreads and the Biscuits for Cheese selection box.
Packaging: a 190g pack. Once the pack is open, fold it tightly closed or tip the crackers into an airtight tin, and keep them somewhere cool and dry. Damp air is what softens a cracker. The pack gives the best before date.
