Stockan's bakes its oatcakes in Stromness on Orkney. Its own story runs back to the 1890s, and in 1986 the company bought Stockan's bakery in Stromness, moved all its baking there and now trades as Stockan's. Orkney oatcakes are hearty and nutty, and Stockan's is the bakery behind the island's triangle oatcakes. In 2024 it won a gold award for an Orkney Heritage oatcake made with bere, the old barley of the Northern Isles, as reported by The Grocer.
